MOSCOW, October 16 (RIA Novosti) - Ak Bars bank said Monday its net profit rose 350% in the third quarter of 2006, compared with the second quarter, to 531.1 million rubles ($19.7 million).
The bank said the increase was mainly due to higher returns on loan and security operations.
Ak Bars is one of Russia's top 30 banks in terms of assets, valued at 83.9 billion rubles ($3.1 billion) as of the second quarter of 2006.
