MOSCOW, October 16 (RIA Novosti) - Russian billionaire and Chelsea FC owner Roman Abramovich denied media rumors Monday that any members of his family, including himself, had filed a lawsuit over a family breakup.
Britain's Daily Mail newspaper reported earlier that Abramovich, 40, who is also the governor of the Chukotka Autonomous Area in Russia's extreme northeast, was facing the threat of divorce proceedings from his wife Irina Malandina, 39.
The paper said Malandina, the mother of the tycoon's five children, has hired the UK's top divorce lawyers, and intends to push for the half of her husband's fortune, which is worth 11 billion pounds, over his "close friendship" with a 23-year old Russian model.
