MOSCOW, October30 (RIA Novosti) - The Russian Foreign Ministry has urged the Macedonian authorities to thoroughly investigate an attack on four Russian diplomats, a ministry spokesman said Monday.
Russian Embassy officers in Macedonia were attacked and beaten by a group of intoxicated hooligans Sunday night in a bar.
"We have asked the Macedonian authorities to conduct an investigation of the incident with Russian Embassy officers in a prompt and objective manner and to inform the Russian side about its results," Mikhail Kamynin said.
He said the Russian nationals sustained bodily injuries, cuts and bruises, adding that tests showed there was no alcohol in their systems.
