MOSCOW, October 31 (RIA Novosti) - Russian machine building company OMZ [RTS: OMZZ] said Tuesday its IFRS sales revenue in the first half of 2006 rose 9.6% year-on-year to $374.3 million.
The company said international sales accounted for 55% of total sales in January-June.
Operating profit in the reporting period climbed 21% year-on-year to $25 million, while EBITDA hit $37 million, up 22% on the same period of 2005.
OMZ (formerly United Heavy Machinery) is one of Russia's largest integrated heavy industry companies. The company specializes in equipment and machinery for the nuclear energy and mining industries, and has clients in more than 30 countries.
