MOSCOW, November 8 (RIA Novosti) - The North Korean Embassy in Russia refused to confirm Wednesday reports that the republic's deputy foreign minister, Kang Sok Ju, is in Moscow on a visit.
News of the deputy foreign minister's arrival in Russia was reported by some Chinese media, but the North Korean diplomatic mission in Moscow said it had no such information.
The Russian foreign ministry also refused to comment on the possible visit by the high-ranking North Korean official. The reclusive Communist state drew worldwide condemnation when it carried out an underground nuclear test October 9.
Some informed sources in Moscow have said that the minister could be in Moscow on a private visit.
