MOSCOW, November 8 (RIA Novosti) - The Russian Supreme Court has upheld verdicts for two Chechen terrorists sentenced to life imprisonment, a RIA Novosti correspondent reported from the courtroom Wednesday.
On April 10, Chechnya's Supreme Court sentenced Islam Tukhashev and Yakub Bidiyev, members of an armed band that committed a series of terrorist attacks and killings in the republic, to life imprisonment.
Their lawyers appealed the sentences and demanded they be overturned or commuted.
