MOSCOW, November 26 (RIA Novosti) - Five people have been burnt to death in a fire that broke out in a private home in central Russia, the Emergency Situations Ministry said Sunday.
The fire broke out at 12.50 p.m. Moscow time (09.50 a.m. GMT) in Ivanovo. The rescuers extinguished the fire in 40 minutes but failed to save five people, including a one-year-old baby, who were inside the house, the ministry said.
An investigation is under way, the ministry said.
