PARIS, November 26 (RIA Novosti) - A member of the lower house of Russia's parliament was severely injured in a car accident in France, a local radio station said Sunday, referring to sources in law-enforcement agencies.
France Info said the car accident occurred Saturday afternoon in Nice. Suleiman Kerimov lost control of the car and crashed into a tree, after which the vehicle went ablaze.
The Russian deputy received severe wounds and was taken by a helicopter to a regional burn center in Marseilles.
Kerimov's condition is serious, the medics said.
An investigation is under way, the sources in the local law-enforcement bodies said.
