MOSCOW, November 30 (RIA Novosti) - Russia's state debt decreased by 731.4 billion rubles ($27.4 billion) to 2.3 trillion rubles ($87.8 billion) in the first nine months of 2006, representing a 24% drop from January 1, the Finance Ministry's report said.
The report will be discussed Thursday at a Cabinet meeting on how the federal budget was implemented in January-September.
According to the report, Russia's domestic debt in the reporting period grew by 127.6 billion rubles ($4.8 billion) to 1.003 trillion rubles ($37.6 billion), whereas foreign debt fell by 859 billion rubles ($32.2 billion) to 1.34 trillion rubles ($50.3 billion).
