DUSHANBE, December 1 (RIA Novosti) - All of Tajikistan's key ministers, except the foreign minister, have been re-appointed to the new Cabinet following the re-election of President Emomali Rakhmonov.
Rakhmonov was re-elected to a third term November 6 with 79.3% of the vote. Under Tajik law, the government must resign to make way for a new Cabinet following a presidential election.
Prime Minister Akil Akilov has been re-appointed along with Defense Minister Sherali Khairullayev and Finance Minister Safarali Nadzhmiddinov.
Khamrokhon Zaripov, former ambassador to the United States, has become the new foreign minister.
