MOSCOW, December 6 (RIA Novosti) - Documents have been confiscated from the offices of the head and executive director of the Russian Pension Fund, a fund spokesman said Wednesday.
"I do not know the purpose of this measure," Nikolai Shulepin said, without specifying which documents were seized from the offices of Gennady Batanov and Pavel Averin.
Batanov has headed the Pension Fund since March 26.
The Russian Interior Ministry has not commented on the confiscation of the documents.
"At the moment we cannot comment on information regarding the confiscation of documents from the central office of the Russian Pension Fund," the press service of the ministry's economic security department said.
