MOSCOW, December 9 (RIA Novosti) - Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed ways to resolve the Arab-Israeli conflict in a telephone conversation with the Turkish prime minister Saturday.
Putin and Tayyip Erdogan reaffirmed "similarity of their views and approaches to settling the situation in the Middle East," the Kremlin press office said.
"They emphasized a need for responsible and concerted efforts by the international community to solve problems facing the region, and an important role Russia and Turkey could play in this through further coordination of their foreign policies."
Bilateral trade and political dialogue between Russia and Turkey were also high on the agenda.
