TYUMEN, January 3 (RIA Novosti) - A light plane has crashed in Tyumen in Russia's West Siberia, killing two people, the regional emergencies center said Wednesday.
The sports plane owned by the regional research and production center of general-purpose aviation crashed at 8:05 a.m. Moscow time (5:05 a.m. GMT) January 3 near the village of Plekhanovo, the center said.
"The crew was performing a flight along the Plekhanovo-Nizhnyaya Tavda route. As a result of the crash, both pilots died," the center said.
An investigation is under way, the center said.
