The assets of Russia's top 30 banks stood at 8,646.31 billion rubles (about $326 billion) as of November 1, 2006, the CBR said on its Web site.
The list of Russia's leaders in the banking sector remained unchanged in November from the previous month, the CBR said.
The list includes: AK Bars Bank, Alfa Bank, Zenit Bank, Bank of Moscow, Binbank, Vneshtorgbank, Vneshtorgbank Retail Services, Vozrozhdeniye Bank, Gazprombank, Impexbank, Sibakadembank, MDM Bank, International Moscow Bank (IMB), International Industrial Bank, Moscow Bank for Reconstruction and Development (MBRD), Nomos-Bank, Bank Petrocommerce, Promsvyazbank, Industrial and Construction Bank, Raiffeisen Austria, Rosbank, Russian Agricultural Bank (Rosselkhozbank), Russian Standard Bank, Sberbank, Svyaz-Bank, ZAO Citibank, Sobinbank, TransCreditBank, Trust National Bank and Uralsib.
The profits of Russia's 30 largest banks climbed 31% in the reporting period, to 233.39 billion rubles (about $8.79 billion), the CBR said.
