MOSCOW, January 12 (RIA Novosti) -- The ruble's real effective rate rose an estimated 7.7% in 2006, year-on-year, the Russian Central Bank said Friday.
The ruble's real effective rate is calculated against the dollar/euro currency basket.
The Russian currency's real rate gained 2.0% against the dollar and lost 0.4% against the euro in November, month-on-month, and gained 14.9% against the greenback and 6.6% against the European single currency in January-November, the CBR said earlier.
