MOSCOW, January 12 (RIA Novosti) - International ratings agency Standard & Poor's said Friday it has raised the long-term credit rating of Rosneft [RTS: ROSN] to BB+ from BB, with a Developing outlook, and removed it from the CreditWatch list.
Analyst Tatyana Kordyukova said the raise is due to a reassessment of the degree of government influence on state-controlled companies in Russia, reflecting the high likelihood that the Russian government will render overwhelming support to the oil company.
