KIEV, January 17 (RIA Novosti) - A Ukrainian parliamentary member, hospitalized yesterday after being shot while hunting in eastern Ukraine, has died in the hospital, a spokesman for his political faction said Wednesday.
Yevhen Kushnarev, a deputy head of the pro-Russian Party of Regions faction, suffered severe blood loss from a gunshot wound to the right side of his abdomen. He underwent two surgeries in intensive care of the Izyum town hospital in the Kharkiv Region, but doctors were unable to save him.
Kushnarev's wounding appears to have been accidental.
