"It [the law] will be prepared and submitted to parliament within the next few months," Dmitry Medvedev said, adding that even now foreign investors do not have any serious problems in Russia.
He said the law should be "well balanced, responding to all questions that may arise in everyday life."
President Vladimir Putin said last October the lower house of parliament is working on laws that will attract foreign investment into the country's economy and minimize the number of spheres where foreign capital would not be welcome.
"The draft laws being considered by the State Duma are aimed at securing foreign and other investment into Russia's economy, guaranteeing owners' rights and minimizing the number of spheres where foreign investment cannot be used," Putin said.
