MOSCOW, January 28 (RIA Novosti) - Five persons have died in a head-on collision in the republic of Mari-El in Russia's Volga area, a source in the local law-enforcement bodies said over the phone Sunday.
"The accident occurred Saturday. The driver of a Zhiguli car lost control and strayed into the opposite lane where the vehicle collided with a truck," the source said.
The driver of the car and four passengers died from wounds at the scene of the tragedy, the source said.
