Prosecutors in the city of Barnaul said the girl allegedly promised to pay three teenage boys 15,000 rubles ($565) each for killing her parents. A preliminary investigation was opened January 25 after the girl's father found the body of his wife in the flat.
"Available information suggests the high school girl, unhappy with strict parental control over her private life, decided to get freedom by physically eliminating her father and mother," prosecutors said.
The press service of the prosecutor's office said the girl gave keys to her apartment to the suspected killers who, armed with knives, waited for the parents inside and attacked the mother, who returned first.
"Seventeen stab wounds were found on her body," the press service said.
At the moment, the girl and two boys have been taken into custody, while the third teenager, who the arrested said did not get actively involved in the incident, has signed a pledge not to leave the city.
