MOSCOW, January 30 (RIA Novosti) - Sleet stuck to power lines and strong wind have caused an electricity blackout on the southern part of Russia's Black Sea coast, the emergencies ministry said Tuesday.
Towns from Tuapse to Adler were left without power following a transmission line failure, the ministry said.
The ministry said power supplies have been partially restored for traffic lights and signal posts.
The press service of Russian electricity monopoly Unified Energy System said power supplies on the Black Sea coast will be fully restored less than in 24 hours.
All trains in the area, including six passenger trains, are currently at a standstill.
