MOSCOW, February 1 (RIA Novosti) - International rating agency Standard & Poor's said Thursday it had assigned a BB- long-term credit rating to Comstar United Telesystems [RTS: CMST], with a positive outlook.
S&P also assigned a ruAA national scale rating to Comstar, one of the largest operators of integrated telecoms services in Russia and the CIS.
The agency said the ratings were restrained by the credit status of the company's main shareholder AFK Sistema, which owns 51% of Comstar's stock.
