ROME, February 9 (RIA Novosti) - Russian Railways (RZD) and Italy's leading high-tech group Finmeccanica may sign specific cooperation agreements in March, the head of the rail monopoly said at a news conference in Rome.
"We can prepare and sign more specific agreements on particular spheres of activity," Vladimir Yakunin said after the signing of a memorandum on cooperation between Russian Railways, Finmeccanica, and Italian Railways.
Yakunin said the memorandum outlines "the main parameters of cooperation but does not determine its time and price parameters."
The head of RZD said the two countries' rail networks intend to offer joint services in management of rail systems.
Finmeccanica chief Pier Francesco Guarguaglini said his company is interested in markets all over the world.
Yakunin said Russian Railways is cooperating not only with Italy but also with Poland, Germany, Austria, China, Armenia and other countries.
