WASHINGTON, February 20 (RIA Novosti) - U.S. National Security Advisor Steve Hadley will visit Moscow at Russia's invitation as part of his European tour later this week, the White House spokesman said Tuesday.
Tony Snow said Moscow would be the third leg of Hadley's tour after Brussels and Berlin. He did not give any more details of the visit.
The United States has announced plans to build missile defense systems in central Europe, which has raised security concerns in Moscow.
The U.S. insists that the European missile shield is meant to counter possible attacks from Iran or North Korea but Russia says the deployment of missile bases close to its borders could only mean it is the real target.
