MOSCOW, February 23 (RIA Novosti) - A total of 39,000 people were left without heating in the eastern Moscow Region town of Elektrostal after an accident on a heat pipeline, Russia's Emergency Situations Ministry said Friday.
"There was a rupture on a heat pipeline at 8:50 a.m. Moscow time [5:50 a.m. GMT]. Heat supplies were interrupted to 370 houses," a ministry representative said.
Air temperature in the Moscow Region is minus 20 degrees Celsius (minus 4 degrees Fahrenheit) now.
