MOSCOW, February 25 (RIA Novosti) - President of Russia Vladimir Putin has decreed to allot 15.8 million rubles (about $602,000) from the presidential reserve fund for the social protection of children in the first quarter of 2007, the Kremlin press office said Sunday.
In accordance with the president's instruction, 12.3 million rubles (about $468,571) will go to the Federal Agency for Education (Rosobrazovaniye) and 3.5 million rubles (about $133,300) to the Federal Agency for Health Care and Social Development (Roszdrav), the press office said.
The president's envoys in Russia's federal districts have been assigned to check the purposeful spending of these funds, the press office said.
