MOSCOW, March 1 (RIA Novosti) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has established a new memorable date, the Kremlin press service said Thursday.
The Day of Fatherland Heroes will be celebrated on December 9.
On that day in 1769, Russian Empress Catherine II established the Order of St. George, to be given to warriors who displayed valor, courage and audacity in battle.
