MOSCOW, March 5 (RIA Novosti) - Russian airlines transported 38 million passengers on domestic and international routes in 2006 or 8.5% more on the previous year's figure, the Federal Air Transport Agency said in its report Monday.
General passenger traffic handled by Russia's air companies increased 9.5%, year-on-year, in 2006 to almost 94 billion passenger/kilometers, the agency said.
The number of international air passengers significantly increased in 2006, with a rise of 11.2%, the agency said.
