MOSCOW, March 6 (RIA Novosti) - Russia's president will visit Italy and Greece March 13-15 to meet with the head of the Roman Catholic Church in Rome and sign a long-delayed oil pipeline deal in Athens, the Kremlin said Tuesday.
Vladimir Putin will meet with Pope Benedict XVI March 13 and will attend the signing of an agreement to build the $1 billion, 280-kilometer (175-mile) Burgas-Alexandroupolis pipeline to pump Russian oil across Bulgaria and Greece to Europe, the U.S. and the Asia-Pacific region March 14-15.
