ST. PETERSBURG, March 10 (RIA Novosti) - A top official of a municipality in central St. Petersburg and a campaigner for a local law-making candidate was stabbed in the street last night two days before regional elections, police said.
Viktor Bykov, head of the Kolomna municipality and campaigner for Sergei Solovyov of A Just Russia left-wing party in the March 11 elections, sustained three stab wounds early on Saturday morning and has been sent to the hospital.
