MOSCOW, March 12 (RIA Novosti) - The Russian banking sector's assets grew 44%, year-on-year, in 2006 to 14,046 billion rubles (about $534 billion), the Central Bank of Russia (CBR) said on its Web site Monday.
Russian credit institutions' shareholder equity climbed 36.3% in the reporting period to 1,693 billion rubles (about $64.4 billion), the CBR said.
