NIZHNY NOVGOROD, March 12 (RIA Novosti) - A woman was killed and four people were injured in a blast at a multiple-story building under construction in Nizhny Novgorod, a city on the Volga River, a local emergency situations department said Monday.
A spokesperson for the emergencies department said the blast was caused by the improper handling of a 50-liter gas canister in an apartment on the seventh floor of the 10-story apartment block.
