MOSCOW, March 29 (RIA Novosti) - A citizen of Moldova, suspected of murdering a senior manager employed at a Moscow-based news agency last October, has been arrested in the capital of Russia, Moscow prosecutor's office said Thursday.
Anatoly Voronin, chief office manager at the ITAR-TASS news agency, was found in his apartment in Moscow with multiple knife wounds on October 16, 2006.
The police arrested Igor Diku, a 25-year-old Moldovan national, at a railway station in Moscow, when he was leaving a Chisinau-Moscow train.
Investigators ruled out Voronin's professional activities as being a major factor in the case, and doubted the murder had been ordered. Robbery was felt to be the primary motive for the murder as about 80,000 euros had disappeared from the chief office manager's apartment following his death.
