MOSCOW, April 1 (RIA Novosti) - Transport police have seized a large batch of drugs from two nationals of Kazakhstan in the Samara Region in Russia's Volga area, a source in the local law-enforcement bodies said Sunday.
According to the source, the police detained a mother and her daughter, both unemployed, on the train going from Vladivostok in Russia's Far East to the city of Kharkov in eastern Ukraine and seized more than 3.4 kilograms of heroin from them.
Both women may be sentenced for up to 10 years in prison on the charges of the illegal transportation of narcotic drugs, the source said.
