MOSCOW, April 10 (RIA Novosti) - Dalsvyaz [RTS: ESPK] said Tuesday its audited net profit, calculated to Russian Accounting Standards (RAS), declined 10.6%, year-on-year, in 2006, to 760.7 million rubles (about $29.3 million).
The Far Eastern telecoms provider said its net profit included losses from provisions created to settle liabilities after a tax audit for 2001-2002.
Dalsvyaz, majority-owned by state-controlled telecoms holding Svyazinvest, said its sales dropped 2.1% in the reporting period, to 10.29 billion rubles (about $395.8 millin), the company said.
Operating income before depreciation and amortization (OIBDA) was up 38.1%, to 3.72 billion rubles (about $143 million), while earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) climbed 8.5%, to 2.70 billion rubles (about $104 million), Dalsvyaz said.
