MOSCOW, May 23 (RIA Novosti) - The State Duma approved Wednesday the first reading of a bill which will prohibit drinking beer in streets, parks and public squares.
The bill will restrict both adults and underage beer drinkers with the only exception being catering establishments which have permission to sell alcoholic drinks.
Currently only underage drinkers are banned from consuming low alcoholic drinks in public places. Adults are not allowed to drink beer in day-care, educational and medical organizations for minors, public transport, and sport facilities.
