MOSCOW, May 30 (RIA Novosti) - Unitex, the formerly unknown winner of an auction to buy bankrupt Russian oil company Yukos's retail network, has signed a document finalizing the deal, a spokesman for the bankruptcy administrator said Wednesday.
Unitex made the final payment for the assets May 25.
Unitex, affiliated with Russia's largest independent natural gas producer Novatex, bought Yukos's network of filling stations at the May 10 auction for 12.46 billion rubles (about $483.5 million), compared with the original price of 7.7 billion rubles ($298.7 million).
Yukos, once Russia's largest oil company, was declared bankrupt August 1, 2006, after three years of litigation with tax authorities over the company's tax arrears.
