The Federal Statistics Service said oil sales on the domestic market increased 4.5% in the reporting period to 74.2 million metric tons (544 million bbl) and crude exports expanded 4.3% to 84.8 million metric tons (622 million bbl).
Oil accounted for 33% of Russia's exports and 52.6% of fuel and energy exports in January-April 2007, compared with 34.9% and 50.9% respectively a year earlier, the service said.
Excluding gas condensate, Russia produced 9.4 million bbl of oil per day in April, while leading oil-exporting nations produced 30.13 million bbl/d, and Iraq and Saudi Arabia 2.08 million bbl/d and 8.55 million bbl/d respectively.
Russia's oil output grew 2.1% year-on-year in 2006, to 480.02 million metric tons (3.5 billion bbl). The Industry and Energy Ministry said earlier that LUKoil, Rosneft, TNK-BP, Surgutneftegaz and Gazprom Neft were the leaders in oil and gas condensate production during the year.
