MADRID, June 28 (RIA Novosti) - Spanish police have busted a gang and confiscated counterfeit brand goods worth 25 million euros, a police spokesperson said Thursday.
The operation, codenamed Glamour, resulted in the arrest of 10 people - nationals of Spain, Morocco, Bangladesh and Senegal.
"A total of 334,000 items of counterfeit goods - clothes, handbags, perfume, cosmetics, sunglasses, sports footwear and others - were seized from two storehouses in Leganes in the suburbs of Madrid," the spokesperson said.
The goods, which mimic the products of Armani, Dolce&Gabbana, Tommy Hilfiger, Puma and Nike, were of high quality and were sold in boutiques.
