MOSCOW, July 9 (RIA Novosti) - Russia's largest mobile handset retailer Euroset said Monday its sales had grown 41.6%, year-on-year, in January-June 2007 to $2.6 billion.
Euroset, which had 4,883 outlets in former Soviet republics as of the end of June, said its cell phone sales had climbed 20%, year-on-year, in the first half of 2007, to 6.08 million.
Businessmen Yevgeny Chichvarkin and Timur Artemyev control Euroset on a parity basis. Together, the two own Cypriote Morefront Holdings Ltd., which holds a 92.47% stake in Dutch Dalnink Holding N.V., Euroset's managing company.
