MOSCOW, July 11 (RIA Novosti) - Russian wholesale generating company OGK-2, established in 2005 during the restructuring of Russia's electric power sector, said Wednesday its net profit, calculated to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), totaled 2.43 billion rubles ($94.7 million) in 2006.
OGK-2, which operates five hydropower plants across Russia, said its profit before taxes doubled since 2005 and stood at 3.4 billion rubles ($132.5 million).
Russia's electricity monopoly Unified Energy System (UES) holds 100% stake in OGK-2.
