MOSCOW, July 13 (RIA Novosti) - Friday the 13th has lived up to its sinister reputation as 10 people perished in two separate accidents in Moscow and the surrounding region, traffic officials said.
Six people, including a woman and child, died in a head-on collision outside Moscow at around 10:00 a.m. local time, and another four people died in a three-way accident in southwest Moscow at about 3:30 p.m.
Traffic at the scene of both accidents was blocked for several hours.
In addition to the fatalities, one person in the second incident survived and was hospitalized in serious condition.
