WASHINGTON, July 13 (RIA Novosti) - U.S. Congress approved a bill 87-1 to increase the bounty for the capture or information leading to the arrest of Osama bin Laden to $50 million.
They also demanded that the head of the Pentagon and national intelligence chief present a report within 90 days on the whereabouts of the most wanted terrorists, including Bin Laden, and Ayman al-Zawahri and other key al-Qaeda figures.
The previous reward for the al-Qaeda leader's capture was $25 million and is part of the U.S. State Department Rewards for Justice Program, plus $2 million pledged by the U.S. Air Transport Association.
