MOSCOW, July 20 (RIA Novosti) - Serbia will revise its relations with countries that unilaterally acknowledge the independence of its Kosovo province, the Serbian ambassador to Russia said Friday.
"We will revise relations with countries that support Kosovo's independence, but that does not mean any radical measures or decisions," Stanimir Vukicevic told RIA Novosti.
He added that Kosovo Albanian leader Agim Ceku's recent statement that Kosovars would declare independence November 28 demonstrated his intention to unite Kosovo with Albania.
"Why specifically November 28? That is Albania's State Flag Day. That is their Independence Day, and what Mr Ceku wants to demonstrate is the unity of the Albanian people. What he wants to show is that there are not two Albanian states," Vukicevic said.
Moscow has rejected the third draft resolution based on special envoy Martti Ahtisaari's plan to grant Kosovo independence without the prior consent of Serbia. Russia, a longtime ally of fellow Slavic Serbia, insists on a decision that would satisfy both Belgrade and Pristina.
