MOSCOW, July 21 (RIA Novosti) - An Italian citizen was beaten and robbed early Saturday in southwestern Moscow by a group of assailants who were later apprehended by police officers, a Moscow police source said.
The source said a 38-year-old director of an Italian consulting company suffered multiple injuries and had been hospitalized.
"Three men have beaten the foreigner and took his mobile phone, money and credit cards," he said. "The victim suffered multiple rib fractures and bruises and was hospitalized."
Police said three suspects had been detained in connection with the assault. Operatives seized the victim's belongings during the arrest.
