ROME, July 22 (RIA Novosti) - Pope Benedict XVI urged nations for peace Sunday, saying they should put an end to bloody conflicts around the world.
Benedict addressed the faithful in the main plaza of Lorenzago di Cadore in the Italian region of Veneto where he is on vacation.
The Pope urged nations "to strongly refuse the arms race and reject the temptation to confront new situations with old systems."
