ROME, August 10 (RIA Novosti) - A 93-year-old man spent several hours in a police station in south Italy after pouncing on a woman 20 years his junior in an old people's club, local police said Friday.
The two had met at the elderly citizens' center in San Severo, a small town in southern Italy's Foggia Province. After his initial advances on the 73-year-old were rebuffed, the nonagenarian refused to give up. He hid quietly in a corner of the center, waiting for his sweetheart to pass by, then leapt out and seized her shouting "I want you," according to the woman's account.
The widow, who said the shock almost gave her a heart attack, managed to fend off her admirer's advances, and notified police that she had been sexually harassed. The man was taken to a police station, where he was warned to keep his passions under control.
