SYKTYVKAR, August 10 (RIA Novosti) - The head of the Federal Property Fund administration for the Republic of Komi has been arrested on suspicion of accepting a 300,000 ruble ($12,000) bribe, the local prosecutor's office said Friday.
A spokesman for the prosecutor's office said Yury Gurov is suspected of attempting to unlawfully sell property seized from debtors.
The name of the person who intended to buy the property has not been disclosed due to an ongoing investigation.
The money was handed over by a middleman, who was also arrested on charges of abetting the transfer of a bribe.
The case is being investigated by the Komi Prosecutor's Office department for priority cases.
