LAKE TERE-KHOL (south Siberia), August 13 (RIA Novosti) - The prince of Monaco arrived by helicopter Monday with Russia's president at an island fortress in south Siberia's Tuva Republic, near the Mongolian border.
Albert II and Vladimir Putin are staying in traditional Tuvan nomads' tents at the medieval Por-Bazhyn fortress, on an island in Tere-Khol Lake, along with archeological researchers.
The leaders arrived earlier Monday in the republic's capital Kyzil, 250 kilometers (155 miles) to the northwest of the island, and were met by Emergency Situations Minister Sergei Shoigu and Tuva's prime minister, Sholban Kara-ool.
