MOSCOW, August 21 (RIA Novosti) - Core inflation in Russia made 0.9% in July 2007, against 0.5% in July 2006, the Federal Statistics Service said Tuesday.
Core inflation stood at 3.9% in the first seven months of the year, against 4.5% in the same period last year.
Consumer prices grew 6.6% in the reporting period.
The statistics also said investment in Russia's fixed assets went up 24.7% in July 2007 to 531 billion rubles ($20.6 billion), year-on-year. The index grew 22.7% against the same period last year.
